A cerebral hemorrhage is a type of a stroke. It is caused by the artery in the brain and cause rupture hemorrhage located in the surrounding tissues. This bleeding kills brain cells. Bleeding means litrary burst the blood. Brain hemorrhages are also called cerebral hemorrhage, intracranial hemorrhage or intra cerebral hemorrhage. They represent about 13% of stroke.

When the blood of trauma irritates brain tissue, it causes swelling. This is known as cerebral edema. In this a pool of blood collects into a mass called hecatomb. These conditions increase the pressure on the nearby brain tissue and reduce blood flow and vital kills brain cells. The bleeding may occur in the brain between the brain and the membranes that cover between layers of the covering of the brain or between the skull and the lining of the brain. Causes of bleeding in the brain
  • This chronic disease over time weakens the blood vessel walls. Untreated hypertension is a major preventable cause of the cerebral hemorrhages.
  • A head injury. Injuries are the most common cause of the bleeding in the brain for the people less than the age of 50 years.
  • Vascular anomalies. Weakness in blood vessels around the brain and may be present at the birth and is diagnosed only if the symptoms develop.
  • Cerebrovascular amyloidosis. This is an anomaly in the wall of the blood vessels that sometimes occur with age. It can cause many small bleeding unnoticed before causing a large company.
  • Blood disorder. Hemophilia and sickle cell anemia can both contribute to lower levels of platelets.

Bleeding in the brain can be detected by the tests like MRI and CT scan. Together these imaging tests, lumbar puncture or spinal tap, blood test and neurological examination can also be done to make the medical diagnosis.  Brain hemorrhage treatment like surgery may be necessary to stop bleeding and repair the ruptured blood vessels. Medication like diuretics, anti-convulsion and analgesic can be used to control the symptoms such as swelling, seizures and pain. Recovery from the brain hemorrhage and successful brain hemorrhage treatment depends upon several factors including severity of bleeding and degree of inflammation. Some people may recover completely, while others face complications such as stroke and loss of brain functions. People with high blood pressure should monitor the level of blood pressure with appropriate medication and lifestyle change recommended by the doctors.
